Another strong point it has is the neodymium rare earth magnet resistance. While the resistance system is excellent, the only minor downside is their simple belt drive train system. Their drivetrain allows the competition to catch up and provide a similar feel when cycling.

Below are details about the workout app, features, and buyer protections.Click to set LB tag RedditRiders. All times ET. New Purchase Over weight limit of pounds self. I am currently pounds and really interested in buying a peloton bike. Based on my research, the weight limit is stated as pounds.
Is there anyone who owns the bike and weighs more than pounds? Thanks in advance for any insight. My wife and I bought the bike! Between trying the bike at the store today and the comments left by everyone here, I felt confident enough to buy the bike. As everyone mentioned, I plan on doing scenic rides and beginner rides to begin with ie staying in the saddle while adjusting to this new lifestyle. I truly appreciate everyone support. Looking forward to the journey together!
I don't have any insight on this specifically other than to say Flywheel's Anywhere bike weight limit is lbs. Congratulations on taking the first step on your health journey.
You're not as far from the limit as you think. With some drastic changes in diet and not yet Peloton exercise, you'd be below the lb cap in a reasonable time frame.
Thanks Matt. You have no idea how much your comment means to me. Growing up I was very athletic up until late 20s. Life took over and I found myself making too many excuses. Met with nutritionist. Now I just need to start moving again. Really looking forward to this new journey and the community to come. Nutritionist is first HUGE step. Stick the their diet and add in 30 minutes of walking a day. If you stick to your diet and include other forms of excercise there's no reason you shouldn't be under that weight limit in 4 to 6 months.
I wouldn't risk it. Weight limits exist for a reason. The pedal could break while you're doing a climb and you could seriously injure yourself. Not worth it. I'd wait until you get under before thinking about purchasing this. For context, the reason I was asking is because when I look at recommendations on weight limits for road bikes, the common answer is that the weight limit is more about rims, not the frames and that the weight limit is less about failure at max weight limit but more about long term durability.
My hope was that someone from the site was in a similar situation and could give me their first hand experience. With that being said, your feedback is absolutely fair. Especially given the price of these units. I tend to agree.
